Sending mourning envelopes

To send a bereavement card, you will need a bereavement stamp and bereavement dispatch set in addition to the bereavement envelopes. This set consists of two collector mourning envelopes. These collectible mourning envelopes can be used to bundle the individual mourning envelopes. This indicates to the postal service that they should be sent with priority and great care. 

Do you want to send mourning envelopes abroad? If so, international stamps should be affixed to these envelopes. With a priority sticker, you give the mourning envelopes even more priority at the post centre.

Can other envelopes serve as mourning envelopes?

Funeral cards and mourning envelopes are simple and classic. Normally, a bereavement card or envelope contains a black border. This black border symbolises death.

It is important, however, that you have a collection envelope which indicates that these contain mourning envelopes and that all mourning envelopes contain a mourning seal. 

Coloured envelopes are also appropriate for a bereavement card in some cases, this is something the bereaved can judge well. Keep in mind that the recipient is often not expecting a bereavement card. In this respect, therefore, be guided mainly by your feelings so that the condolence comes from the heart.
